How It Works
Our IV Infusion Process
Our nurses will guide you through each step of your appointment, ensuring you feel safe and well-informed about the vitamins and fluids being administered. The initial appointment typically lasts about an hour from start to finish. For repeat or regular clients, the process may be completed more quickly
Important Steps to Take After Booking Your Appointment:
After booking your appointment online or via text, you will receive a confirmation message. Subsequently, an intake form from IntakeQ will be sent to your email. This form must be completed before every appointment, as it updates your pertinent information and includes the consent form that must be signed for safety and compliance. It is crucial that first-time clients fill out this form immediately, as our nurses will not proceed to the appointment without having received and reviewed it first. If you do not find this email immediately, please check your spam folder.
For first-time appointments or if there has been a change in your medical history, you will be scheduled for a brief Good Faith Exam via telehealth, typically conducted during your IV infusion appointment unless planned in advance under special circumstances. This exam, mandatory at the initial appointment, after any major medical updates, and annually, is facilitated by a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. It is quick and straightforward, with a fee of $27.99, payable even if you are not cleared for IV infusion.
Should you have any questions about this process, feel free to reach out directly.
Day of Your Appointment:
For mobile appointments: Shortly before your scheduled time, you will receive a text notification with an estimated time of arrival (ETA). If there are any unexpected delays, you will be promptly informed. Please note that delays may also affect our brick-and-mortar appointments, particularly if we are transitioning from a mobile visit.
Upon the nurse’s arrival, they will introduce themselves and may engage in a discussion about the ordered package or address any questions you may have. Following the initial introduction, they will review the intake form you completed to ensure there are no contraindications. Once confirmed, they will proceed to obtain your vitals.
IV Infusion Process:
The IV infusion is carefully prepared, and IV access is established. Any products that can be administered directly are pushed at the outset. The infusion begins at a slow rate, and once all pushable products are administered, the flow rate is increased. The process typically takes 20-30 minutes for most individuals. If a more challenging venipuncture requires a smaller needle, the process may extend longer.
Our nurse will remain with you throughout the entire infusion to ensure your comfort and safety. Once the infusion is complete, the IV is carefully removed, and the site is appropriately wrapped. Aftercare instructions are provided to help you maintain your wellbeing post-infusion. Finally, payment is processed before we depart.
