Clients must provide one time a negative lab test for G6PD.

Vitamin C plays a crucial role for individuals undergoing chemotherapy. Research highlights its anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties, which may support the body’s ability to manage cancer-related challenges. High doses of Vitamin C could potentially help alleviate symptoms such as fatigue, appetite issues, and sleep disturbances in some cancer patients. However, it is essential to consult with your oncologist to determine the most appropriate approach for your specific condition

Included Vitamins & Minerals:

  • 500 ml of Lactated Ringers or Sterile Water (depends on dosage of Vitamin C)
  • 25-50 grams of Vitamin C
  • 200-400 mg of Magnesium (depends on dosage of Vitamin C)

Why do I need to provide G6PD lab results prior to receiving a high-dose Vitamin C infusion?

Prior to undergoing high-dose Vitamin C infusions (anything over 10,000 mg), it’s imperative to undergo a G6PD blood test to assess the levels of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD), an enzyme vital for red blood cell health. G6PD deficiency, if present, may lead to complications when exposed to substances like Vitamin C at high doses, potentially causing damage to red blood cells. A negative test result indicates no deficiency, and it’s typically a one-time requirement as G6PD deficiency remains consistent over time.

G6PD deficiency can indeed pose life-threatening risks when exposed to high doses of Vitamin C. This deficiency affects the ability of red blood cells to withstand certain oxidative stressors, including Vitamin C in large quantities. In individuals with G6PD deficiency, the administration of high-dose Vitamin C can trigger the destruction of red blood cells, leading to hemolytic anemia and potentially severe complications. Thus, obtaining a negative result on the G6PD blood test before undergoing high-dose Vitamin C infusions is crucial for patient safety and well-being.

Get back to 100% faster than traditional remedies

High-dose Vitamin C infusions offer numerous benefits beyond general health support. Administering Vitamin C in higher doses can enhance wound healing, boost the immune system, improve mood, increase iron absorption, lower blood pressure, and help mitigate lead toxicity.

Vitamin C facilitates the transformation of iron into a more absorbable form and has shown effectiveness in repairing damage caused by lead toxicity. It has also been known to reduce both systolic and diastolic blood pressure in adults.

In our standard infusions, you can add between 1,000 to 10,000 mg of Vitamin C. For those needing more substantial support, we offer high-dose infusions of either 25,000 mg or 50,000 mg. In high-dose infusions, due to concerns about osmolarity, only magnesium is added to help minimize the risk of vein irritation or spasm.

To determine if a high-dose Vitamin C infusion is right for you, we strongly advise consulting with your primary care provider.
